LOOK: Slater Young, Kryz Uy post scary typhoon Odette aftermath

The couple shares what happened in their home and hometown Cebu

Celebrity couple Slater Young and Kryz Uy felt the need to post so that people outside of Cebu will know what happened in Cebu—ground zero. In his caption earlier this afternoon, "Some people still message us as if it’s business as usua—'Slater hope you’re safe, but can we please meet xxx deadline,' so we feel like it’s not communicated enough how dire the situation in Cebu is. No power. A lot of people are homeless. Kilometer looong lines to get gas, groceries, food. No drinking water in some places. Three days na, roads are still hard to access. If yung mga may bahay, affected, paano na kaya yung mga people living in shanties. Mag-ingat tayo guys, spread the word."

Over in Kryz's Instagram account, she shared more photos in her stories, with their home wrecked and streets almost impassable. Lines are long just to get gas, groceries and supermarkets running out of food to sell, internet signal is bad.

The couple also noted that it was Slater's birthday that day, "but we are safe. Most important yun, and we have been able to help others though not in the scale we would like. We are hoping to put word out there that it's really really really bad in all areas affected by typhoon Odette. We need all the help we can get. If anyone who has any capacity to help can see this, I hope you can do something for our hometown and other places his by the typhoon."
