Only 14 days are left before the deadline of entries for the startup competition of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
The Philippine Startup Challenge (PSC) 2021 aims to encourage and support Filipinos to create an innovative and relevant product on information and communications technology (ICT).
“This initiative is geared towards promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship in ICT among Filipinos and to ensure the continuous creation of investible ideas and startup founders that will expand the Philippine Startup ecosystem,” said DICT in an official statement.
Among the objectives of the competition were to provide participants with an opportunity to acquire funding proposals; build strategic partnerships with guest participants and judges, and receive feedback from ICT professionals on enhancements that can be made to their startup idea.
The competition was divided into two categories: professional and student. The deadline for the professional category lapsed on Oct. 15, while the deadline for the student category was extended until Dec. 30, at 11:59 p.m.
DICT urged students and aspiring startup founders to join the competition. Interested participants may know more about the mechanics of the challenge through the DICT’s official page and website.
