In a statement, PRC said that it was opened on Dec. 13, and according to PRC Health Services, they have vaccinated around 50 clients in the Multipurpose Hall of DepEd San Carlos City during a dry run in cooperation with the local government unit (LGU) of San Carlos City.

PRC Health Services added that the newly-established "Bakuna" center will be joining the second run of the National Vaccination Drive to be held this week.

As of Dec. 13, PRC's 26 Bakuna Centers, 17 Bakuna Buses, and Bakuna Teams have administered a total of 732,761 doses of which 209,406 individuals are fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, Gordon has recently instructed Bakuna buses to drive to Bogo in Mandaue, Cebu to jab more than 1,200 individuals on Dec. 12.

PRC's 17 Bakuna Buses have currently administered over 208,242 doses as of Dec. 12, while fully-vaccinating 61,643 individuals. PRC Bakuna buses deployed in Cebu have administered 5,499 doses in Bogo and 14,150 in Lapu-Lapu City.

"As the country's premier humanitarian organization, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is always at the forefront of responding timely and efficiently," Gordon said.

"Our volunteers have been working hard every single day through the many ongoing initiatives of the PRC towards COVID-19 response; from testing, deploying negative pressure ambulances, setting up isolation facilities, emergency field hospitals, and medical tents, to providing convalescent plasma in our blood center and mobilizing our vaccination program," he added.

On the other hand, PRC volunteers and staff members from Bogo City-Northern Cebu Branch went to Roosevelt Memorial Colleges to conduct a blood drive with students of ROTC and CWTS. By the end of the blood drive, PRC collected over 127 blood units.
