Our initial verdict: This latest model from OPPO delivers quite a punch with its smooth performance, superior battery life, and fast charge technology. Not only does it offer great style, but also packs in the hardware to match today’s digitally driven lifestyle.
Here’s how each feature of the OPPO A95 fares in terms of typical mobile phone usage and how one can best take advantage of it.
Hardware: Great body and design
The OPPO A95 is quite the arm candy and is perfect to include in your OOTDs or mirror selfies. It comes in a matte back cover with an iridescent glow that makes you not want to consider using a phone case to highlight it. It’s also comfortable to hold with its curved edges and is lightweight at only 175g.
The A95 has firm and clicky buttons on both sides—plastic volume rockers that sit just above the triple-card tray for two nano-sized SIM cards and a microSD card, and the power/lock button on the right. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack, main microphone, USB-C charging/transfer port, and loudspeaker located at the bottom of the device. Making the unit a versatile gadget for your audio needs.
Display: Visual enjoyment achieved
It also boasts a 6.43-inch AMOLED, nearly bezel-less display with 2400 x 1080 resolution or equal to 409ppi. This has been a great feature to support binge-watching activities at 1080p resolution at a 20:9 aspect ratio so we greatly enjoyed and were able to finish some of our favorite shows on Netflix or stream our go-to music videos on YouTube. Players of casual games and multiplayer online games like Mobile Legends will also enjoy the OPPO A95’s smooth-running display.
The front display also features a punch hole on the upper left corner for the 16MP selfie camera, a tiny center notch for the earpiece, and a fingerprint sensor at the bottom of the screen. Despite a plastic rear, the A95’s screen uses a tough-to-break Corning Gorilla Glass and it also comes built-in with a screen protector to prevent scratches. Perfect for those times the phone accidentally slipped from our hands, Oopps!
Phone camera quality: Nearly pro
Found at the back of the phone are protruding triple cameras that include a 48MP main shooter, a 2MP camera for macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. The photos we took using the OPPO A95 are vibrant and crisp and show minimal blurriness even with slight hand movements while taking the photo.
Meanwhile, the 16MP front selfie camera produces clear photos that require almost no editing with its built-in beautification features. Even those who are not into taking random selfies would be enticed to try. One can actually post those selfies whenever you want to with ease!
Battery: Can handle multi-tasking well
On the inside, the OPPO A95 is equipped with a combination of powerful elements to handle multiple tasks, whether it’s gaming, viewing, photography/videography, or social media. It’s built with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor with an Adreno 610 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage that is complemented with the feature-packed Android 11 and ColorOS 11.1 so you can enjoy all the latest versions of your favorite apps.
Battery-wise, the OPPO A95 has a large 5,000mAh capacity. When we put the phone unit to the multi-tasking challenge, it lasted up to 5.5 hours of alternately doing gaming and video viewing, and about 12 hours with casual usage. Charging from 10% to 100% is possible to happen in as fast as 45 minutes using the 33W flash charge.
Price and availability: A-ok!
