Andrea Meza dons a Michael Cinco creation during her final walk as Miss Universe

This is not the first time the Dubai-based couturier designed a gown for a Miss Universe for final walk

A beauty queen’s final walk is such a significant moment. People look at her for the last time, celebrating reign and hearing her last address. A moment like this deserves a special dress, and for Andrea Meza, she chose to wear a Michael Cinco couture gown as she closes her Miss Universe 2020 chapter.

Red has been her power color ever since she competed for the crown. For her final walk dress, she wore a color that is in the same family. The Dubai-based couturier crafted an ombre plum ball gown for Andrea, with a sweetheart neckline and a flounced, off-the-shoulder detail. At the bottom are scattered embellishments that almost look like crystalized paint splatters–an overall dramatic look.

In the past, former Miss Universe winners Pia Wurtzbach and Iris Mittenaere have worn Michael’s creations during their final walk, a Swarovski crystal-encrusted royal blue ball gown and a scarlet red ombré dress, respectively.

At the end of her reign, Andrea passed on her crown to the new Miss Universe, India’s Harnaaz Sandhu, at Eilat, Israel.
