Cyber-attacks dominate our roster of stories this Sunday afternoon, Dec. 12, 2021

First, there was the assault on some accounts at BDO online banking on Saturday night, Dec. 11, 2021; then there was the report of a US-based cyber-security company which reported the alleged hacking by Chinese hackers on private and public agencies in Southeast Asia, including four Philippine government agencies.

Tragedy struck US central states after a swarm of tornadoes ravaged towns and cities that left at least 70 dead, and what could be billions of dollars in damage.

And with three days to go before round 2 of the government’s National Vaccination Days, the Department of Health (DOH) and National Task Force (NTF) against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have given the assurance that there will be ample supply of syringes this time.
