According to the Mandaluyong City Public Information Office (PIO) families living in the city will be given the “Pamaskong Handog”.

Barangay captains already determined the number of families living in their area.

Mayor Carmelita “Menchie” Abalos joined the distribution in barangay Mauway on Sunday morning.

Distribution was done door-to-door by the barangay captains, councilors, and purok leaders of each barangay to avoid local transmission of COVID-19.

Mandaluyong City’s “Pamaskong Handog” is an annual gift-giving program that was first launched by former Mandaluyong Mayor Benjamin Abalos Sr. and has been the city government’s tradition to give food packages to families during the Christmas season.
