Comelec okays NoA to 2 firms for supply, delivery of ballot boxes, provision of ballot warehouse

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has approved the notice of award for its supplier of ballot boxes and the provider for the warehouse facility for official ballots.

The poll body awarded the “supply and delivery of ballot boxes” that will be used in next year’s general elections to Cofta Mouldings Corporation.

"On behalf of the Commission en banc, the undersigned hereby awards to Cofta Mouldings Corporation the contract for the supply and delivery of ballot boxes for use in the 2022 National and Local Elections," the Comelec stated.

The contract for the supply and delivery of 48,782 ballot boxes is worth P143,906,900. The price per unit of the ballot boxes is P2,950.

Meanwhile, the Comelec awarded the provision of warehousing facility for official ballots as well as ballot paper rolls to Blue Chip Marketing.

"On behalf of the Commission en banc, the undersigned hereby awards to Blue Chip Marketing the contract for the provision of warehouse facility for ballot paper rolls and printed official ballots with hauling services for the 2022 National and Local Elections," the Comelec said in a separate notice of award.

The said service provider posted a bid amount P37,888,888 for 1 Lot project, the Comelec said.
