The "LTO on Wheels" will offer on-site motor vehicle registration renewal services to the public as part of the agency's efforts to prevent them from dealing with unauthorized individuals or "fixers."

"Our motorist friends really appreciate this effort of bringing LTO services closer to them. It’s very convenient because we always schedule it on a Saturday so as not to affect their days at work," PITX Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Head Jason Salvador said on Friday, Dec. 10.

Motorists can avail of the LTO's services such as renewal of motor vehicle registration, smoke emission testing, and third-party insurance (TPL) at the mobile office.

Salvador said interested motorists may go directly to the second floor of PITX's Gate 2 to avail of the services from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"A lot of people have been asking for it, so we discussed the possibility with LTO. Thankfully, we arrived at an agreement that the public, especially from nearby cities, will be happy about," he added.

PITX, the country's first landport, now welcomes an average of 70,000 foot traffic daily as more routes reopen with the easing travel restrictions in the country.

Operated by MWM Terminals, Inc., PITX is also the first-ever integrated and multimodal transport hub in the Philippines which aims to improve the overall commuting experience of Filipinos by providing seamless interconnectivity between different modes of public transportation.
