Blackwater finally gets to field its rejigged lineup against Rain or Shine in the PBA Governors’ Cup Thursday, Dec. 9 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The Bossing launch their bid to bounce back from a winless Philippine Cup campaign against the Elasto Painters at 6 p.m. after the Terrafirma Dyip and Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters meet in the 3 p.m. opener.

Blackwater is coming off a winless record in the Philippine Cup which resulted in setting a dubious mark for consecutive defeats with 19 straight losses.

Ariel Vanguardia was appointed to call the shots for the Bossing, who made numerous trades in hopes of improving their previous campaign.

Jvee Casio, Rashawn McCarthy, Barkley Ebona, Mike Ayonayon and Will McAloney were acquired from different trades to mix up with holdovers like Baser Amer and Ed Daquioag.

Jaylen Bond, one of four first-time imports, will reinforce the Bossing for the season-ending conference.

Rain or Shine is out to extend Blackwater’s woes with veteran import Henry Walker, Rey Nambatac and Javee Mocon tasked to lead the charge.

In the opener, Terrafirma and Phoenix are expected to have their new players in action.

The Dyip will have Alex Cabagnot, who they got from the San Miguel Beermen, while Sean Anthony begins his new life with the Fuel Masters after four years with the Batang Pier.

Former Best Import Paul Harris returns to don the Phoenix jersey while Antonio Hester suits up for Terrafirma for his first foray in the Philippines.
