OsMak receives new MRI machine from DOH

The Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) received on Tuesday, Dec. 7, a brand new Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine from the Department of Health (DOH) as part of its efforts to boost the facility's health care services.

In a Facebook post, the Makati Public Information Office (PIO) posted pictures of the turnover ceremony led by Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Vice Mayor Monique Lagdameo, Congressman Luis Campos, OsMak Director Dr. Vergel Binay, Radiology Department Chairman Dr. Arsenio Gonzales, as well as DOH representatives Dr. Aleli Annie Grace Sudiacal and Dr. Ma. Teresa River.

The machine was distributed by the DOH - Hospital Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP), which is a national program that assists in enabling government healthcare facilities to provide quality health care towards the attainment of the Philippine Health Agenda through the allocation of capital outlay for the procurement of health infrastructure, medical equipment, and land outlay for selected DOH hospitals.

The Philippine Health Agenda aspires to achieve three major goals:

1. Better health outcomes with no major disparity among population groups;

2. Financial risk protection for all, especially the poor, marginalized, and vulnerable; and

3. A responsive health system which makes Filipinos feel respected, valued, and empowered.

Through the HFEP, health facilities and hospitals will be upgraded and provided with appropriate medical equipment and enhanced infrastructure, leading to a high quality and accessible health care delivery system.

Meanwhile, the PIO also announced that both OsMak and Makati Medical Center (MMC) have tallied zero new active COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.
