After announcing a break from activities after mounting a series of successful live shows in Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, BTS members launched on Dec. 6 their personal Instagram accounts and collectively received 106.2 million follows from the BTS ARMY.
V who uses the handle @thv was the top followed member with 16.3 million. He kicked off his personal account with a trio of photos that reflected his quirky personality and his astounding visuals – a skeleton puppet, a black and white selfie as well as memento and behind the scene shots from BTS’ recent guesting on The Late Late Show with James Corben.
Golden maknae Jungkook, who showed off his wit by using the handle @abcdefghi_lmnopqrstuvwxyz – the alphabet while leaving out his initials, also got 15.6 million follows on his first day as he posted a shot in an empty SoFi Stadium and another one depicting the sunrise.
Baby Mochi Jimin aka @j.m, who showcased a single black and white photo looking dapper in a suit and tie, received 15.2 million follows.
Worldwide handsome Jin, who simply used his name as his handle @jin featured a pic of himself and Jungkook wearing traditional Korean clothes and got 14.9 million follows.
Suga, who used his @agustd name from his solo projects, easily received 14.8 million follows even though he only posted a solitary red image on his account.
Finally, BTS leader RM who used the handle @rkive shared snaps of his time in LA, and one while taking a snap of a sleeping cat on a staircase; and J-Hope @uarmyhope, who chose to post a trio of polaroid selfies for his first salvo, were followed by 14.7 million ARMYs each.
