GOSSIP GIRL: Aj-Diego-Barbie love triangle issue dies a natural death

There’s a saying that dates back in Ancient Egypt that goes, “speech is silver, but silence is golden.'' Chinese philosopher Lau Tzu said, "silence is a source of great strength."

In Susan Cain’s book “Quiet, she writes about the argument that there can be times when saying nothing can be much more powerful than talking. In other words, there is real power in silence. It looks like the reel and real-life sweethearts Diego Loyzaga and Barbie Imperial know about this conflict strategy as the two have decided to keep mum of the issue that there was a time when Diego was visiting sexy actress Aj Raval in Pampanga while having a relationship with Barbie Imperial.

I am very close to the parents of Diego, both Cesar Montano and Teresa Loyzaga, so Diego is like a ....baby brother to me. Forgive me, beloved readers, I am not yet comfortable facing my age as of the moment haha! In fact, I have given a direct order to Diego and Barbie and all millennials above 18 not to call me tita. So all of them whether they like it or not have to call me “Ate G”. Anyway, based on my last article regarding Paolo Contis, you all know how concerned I am when it comes to matters of the heart on the people I know and care about. So even before the presscon of Diego and Barbie for their upcoming movie to be streamed in the Vivamax app on Dec.10, I already texted Diego for his answer on the issue, and he was gracious enough to text me back. “Barbie and I have come to an agreement that we will not say anything about this issue. What is important is that Barbie and I are both happy right now.”

"I tried to explain to Diego via text that remaining silent may also pose as a risk. In today’s world of overwhelming chatter and information overload, silence may be the most toxic strategy for reputation and integrity. If he remains silent, someone else will fill the void with more made-up chatter and misinformation. I especially feel bad for Barbie, after her interview with Boy Abunda, people might think she is dealing with this issue alone. Diego quickly texts back, “Of course, I wouldn’t let my baby girl deal with it alone. Silence doesn’t mean she is dealing with it alone. Barbie and I have come to an agreement that silence is what is needed right now. At the end of the day, what’s important is between Barbie and me – we are unbothered and happy kasi dami naming blessings. Our movie will be streamed in Vivamax in two days.”

In an exclusive interview with Pikapika.ph, Diego’s co-star in “Death of Girlfriend” Aj Raval finally speaks up regarding the issue, “Never po nanligaw si Diego sa akin. Wala po kami naging relationship ni Diego. Hindi po siya nagpunta sa Pampanga.” (Diego never courted me. We never had any romantic relationship. Diego never visited me in Pampanga).

With Diego and Barbie’s silence and Aj raval’s final statement, I, therefore, bury this issue six feet under the ground.
