Bulacan prov'l gov't lights up giant Christmas tree

Fernando thanked the provincial Capitol employees, medical workers, and volunteers for not giving up on the fight against COVID-19, as well as all Bulakenyos for being well-disciplined in following the minimum public health standards which are seen as the key to the decline in COVID-19 cases.

He said Bulacan's fight against the pandemic is not yet over and urged all Bulakenyos to get vaccinated and not to be complacent, always wear a face mask, and pray that the new COVID-19 Omicron variant will not enter the province.

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported on Monday that out of the total of 91,718 COVID-19 cases in the province, 89,740 have recovered, and 521 or 1 percent remain as active cases. There was one new reported death, bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,457.

Of the 521 active cases, 38 are admitted in the hospitals, 100 are in a Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility, while 383 are in home isolation.
