Pinoy cagers to participate in Japan B.League All-Star events


Filipino basketball stars who are playing in the Japan B.League are set to suit up for their respective events in the upcoming All-Star festivity next year at the Okinawa Arena.

Thirdy Ravena of San-En, Kiefer Ravena of Shiga, Kobe Paras of Niigata, Ray Parks Jr. of Nagoya, Kemark Carino of Aomori, Javi Gomez de Liano of Ibaraki, and Juan Gomez de Liano of Tokyo, and Dwight Ramos of Toyama dominate the lineup for the Asia team against the Rising Star squad.

Shinshu's Matthew Aquino, who is signed as a Japanese player due to his roots, barged into the Rising Star roster.

Paras, a two-time FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championship Slam Dunk Contest winner, will soar high against three others players while Javi is set to join in the 3-point competition against six sharpshooters.

The Ravena brothers, for their part, will once again face each other in the skills challenge against four other competitors.

The two-day All-Star season will commence on January 14.
