Manila City starts 'Pamaskong Handog' distribution


The Manila City government started the distribution of “Pamaskong Handog” Christmas boxes to residents Sunday, Dec. 5, in time for the holiday season.

In a Facebook post, Manila mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said at least 82 barangays in District 1 received Pamaskong Handog from the city government, through the help of Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB), Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW), and Department of Public Services (MTPB).

Each Pamaskong Handog box contains one pack uncooked spaghetti noodles; one pack pasta sauce, five cans of corned beef, one canned tropical fruit cocktail, one canned condensed milk, and a box of cheese.

Some netizens also praised the distribution of christmas boxes on social media.

“Salamat po mayor may pag salo-salohan na po kami sa hapagkain. Ipagpatuloy niyo po ang mabuting hangarin sa mamamayan. God bless po!” one netizen said in a Facebook post.
