Comelec: 165 party-list groups to participate in virtual raffle for ballot placement

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) released the list of party-list groups that will be allowed to participate in the conduct of raffle to determine the order of appearance on the official ballot for the May 2022 general elections.

The poll body said that 165 partylist, including those with pending resolutions, will participate in the virtual raffle set on Friday, Dec. 10.

Of the 165 party-list groups, the poll body said 152 of them were approved while 13 still have "pending incidents," as stated in Comelec Resolution No. 10735.

“The following party-list groups, organizations, and coalitions shall be allowed to participate in the raffle on 10 December 2021, 10:00 am, for purposes of determining their order of listing on the official ballot,” the Comelec said.

The partylist groups with pending incidents include L.O.G.R.O Kusinero, Ako Musikero, BPO, Barkadahan, Malabung, Malsakit Movement, MOCHA, MAAGAP, Pamilyang Magsasaka, PSIS, PASADA - CC, UFCC, and United Senior Citizen.

Meanwhile, the Comelec denied the application of 107 partylist groups for the upcoming elections.

“The Motions for Reconsideration of the petitions for registration of the following party-list groups, organizations, and coalitions have been denied; Hence, they shall not be allowed to participate in the raffle," said the Comelec.

The poll body, meanwhile, noted that "participation in the raffIe is without prejudice to the resolution of the pending incidents and the exclusion on the official ballot, if applicable."

The Comelec said it has the "authority to exclude any party-list groups, organizations, or coalitions subject to the pending incidents."
