P2-M shabu seized in Rizal; 10 suspects arrested

Police operatives seized some P2 million worth of shabu and arrested 10 persons in a buy-bust in Cainta, Rizal at around 6 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4.

Police identified the suspects as Marco Angelo Zarate, 46; Twixx Leyson, 30, call center agent; Angelito Reyes, 39, driver; Dennis Reyes,36, driver; Christian Evangelista, driver; Victor Dax Jose, 49; Roderick Rendal, 54; Janeth Salasibar, 51; Marry Lou Cruz, 51; and Allan Garol. 51.

The sting was conducted by the Special Operations Unit-4A supervised by Police Brig. Gen. Remus B. Medina, director of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP DEG).

Operatives from the Regional Drug Enforcement Units of the National Capital Region Police Office, Cainta City Police Station, and Taytay City Police Station also joined the drug bust.

Confiscated from the suspects were 300 grams of suspected shabu, a P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, a white Honda City car, and five cell phones, according to PNP-DEG.

The suspects and evidence were turned over to the PNP-DEG Special Operation Unit 4A Office for documentation, disposition, and filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
