Muntinlupa one of top 10 performing cities in local revenue generation in PH


Muntinlupa emerged as one of the 10 top performing cities in local revenue generation in the country in 2020.

The Bureau of Local Government Finance under the Department of Finance issued the list of the national top performing provinces, cities and municipalities in local revenue generation for fiscal year 2020.

In the top 10 cities in nominal locally sourced revenues (LSR), Muntinlupa ranked 10th with a collection of P4.26 billion in 2020.

The LSR was based on collected real property tax; local business tax, fees and charges; and receipts from economic enterprises.

The top 10 cities in highest nominal locally sourced revenues are:

1. Quezon City (NCR) - P21.75 billion

2. Makati City (NCR) - P14.99 billion

3. Manila City (NCR) - P11.04 billion

4. Taguig City (NCR) - P10.25 billion

5. Pasig City (NCR) - P9.49 billion

6. Paranaque City (NCR) - P6.32 billion

7. Pasay City (NCR) - P5.48 billion

8. Davao City (Davao Region) - P5.35 billion

9. Mandaluyong City (NCR) P4.68 billion

10. Muntinlupa City (NCR) - P4.26 billion

The top 10 provinces in highest nominal locally sourced revenues for fiscal year 2020 are:

1. Bulacan - P1.72 billion

2. Bataan - P1.59 billion

3. Rizal - P1.53 billion

4. Pampanga - P1.37 billion

5. Quezon - P1.30 billion

6. Batangas - P1.10 billion

7. lloilo - P995.39 million

8. Bukidnon - P802.86 million

9. Pangasinan - P796.23 million

10. Cavite - P721.69 million

The top 10 municipalities in highest nominal locally sourced revenues for fiscal year 2020 are:

1. Limay, Bataan - P1.03 billion

2. Cainta, Rizal - P839.58 million

3. Carmona. Cavite - P593.67 million

4. Taytay, Rizal - P574.74 million

5. Calaca, Batangas - P548.10 million

6. Marilao. Bulacan - P473.95 million

7. Mariveles, Bataan - P455.62 million
