Adventures in love

On an unforgettable island paradise in the Philippines, things get wild when 16 singles come together to embark on an extreme dating experience, as they attempt to find true love while working together to survive the elements and each other. While endless miles of white sandy beaches and clear turquoise water may seem like the perfect setting to fall in love, with no food, water or clothes readily available, these singles will be both physically and emotionally vulnerable and forced to depend on each other.

Find out how each of the hopefuls handle island survival and dating in Naked & Afraid of Love, launching on Dec. 5.

With interesting personalities like a sexually fluid army veteran, a high school teacher looking to put a ring on that finger, and a San Diego surf instructor riding out the waves of life, the series is sure to deliver on both adventure and relationship drama.

Experience discovery+ in BGC

Bringing real life entertainment out of the screen and into the real world, discovery+ is set to launch discovery+ TRACKS, an immersive interactive experience parklet in BGC on Dec. 4. In collaboration with film industry veteran and award-winning composer Teresa Barrozo—one of the country’s top Sound Designers and Film Scorers today. The auditory experience invites visitors into a series of color coded pathways and soundscapes inspired by leading discovery+ genres: Nature, Relationships, Paranormal, and True Crime.

Barrozo was electrified by the idea of doing a full-on, museum-grade sound installation as a form of public art. As the installation interacts with the people walking through the park and with the ambient sounds in that environment, there is a “live” element that makes up discovery+ TRACKS.

“The imagining part was the most exciting part of this project. Choosing what sound elements to include and why; and then putting them together in ways that would make people feel what I wish they’d feel... this gave me much pleasure. I subscribed to discovery+, then checked out the shows they offered. This was helpful to my process in creating the tones of the Lanes,” Teresa Barrozo explained.

As the project is under the Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation’s (FBDC) adopt-a-parklet initiative, discovery+ TRACKS aims to reduce vehicular traffic by linking the City Center via exciting and stimulating walkways.

Home of the holidays

Ramping up the festivities this holiday season, discovery+ launches additional shows that families can enjoy. Titles include Fixer to Fabulous Holiday Surprise, Home Town: Ben's Holiday Workshop, and My Lottery Dream Home Holiday Extravaganza, all dropping on Dec. 11.

Viewers can also be inspired by inventive ideas on Shark Tank, and get a glimpse of life before happily ever after on Before the 90 Days, both premiering on Dec.10.
