KAWIT, Cavite – The milky white walls of Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine seem formal and stately in the daytime, but when the sun goes down, it turns into a colorful building glowing with light projections.
The municipal government launched on Tuesday (Nov. 30), its holiday light display at the national shrine and the Freedom Park in front of it.

In a Facebook post, Mayor Angelo G. Aguinaldo said that the Christmas display aims to symbolize the town's unwavering hope and strength amid the pandemic.
A lighting ceremony was also held at the St. Mary Magdalene Parish, in preparation for the Maytinis Festival – a local Christmas Eve tradition that retells Mary and Joseph's search for a place to stay in Bethlehem.
