John Vic De Guzman spearheaded the romp with 14 kills and three aces for the Aguilas which now awaits the No. 2 seed in Pool B to be their semis opponents.

Mark Gil Alfafara provided support with 13 points while Jessie Lopez tallied 13 excellent sets.

Basilan showed semblance of life in the second set with a Mohammad Sulayman attack and a De guzman error putting the score at 24-all. Another error from the Aguilas allowed the Steel Spikers to reach set point but they failed to capitalize.

Air Force then showed poise and solid net defense in the next sequences as a double block from Jessie Lopez and Kim Malabunga sent back a Joshua Barrica attack to score the final point of the set.

Basilan was able to keep a fighting stand in the early goings of the third set but Air Force pulled away for good behind the relentless attacks from De Guzman.

Sulayman and Esmail Kasim paced Basilan with nine points apiece while Al-Frazin Abdulwahab had 11 excellent sets.

Basilan will now battle Manileno Spikers on Wednesday, Dec 1 with the second spot in pool A and a semis seat at stake.
