Nine-foot python found in car engine bay in QC

A reticulated python measuring around nine feet in length was found in the engine bay of a vehicle parked on Madasalin Street in Barangay Teacher's Village, Quezon City on Monday, Nov. 29.

According to a DZRH report, the vehicle's owner immediately reported the find to the QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO) Search and Animal Rescue Unit, leading to the snake’s capture.

The QCDRRMO said the python possibly came from a dried creek near the street to look for food.

The python was turned over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
