CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada during a Laging Handa press briefing mentioned that they will be in touch with the Department of Health (DOH) with the "regular" RT-PCR testing for the workers.

"We have conducted several commission meetings about it together with our legal, our Office for Legal Affairs (OLA) po ‘no and our policy office," she said.

"So hintayin lang ho natin, anytime soon maglalabas na ho ang CSC ng policy about the topic (So let's just wait anytime soon the CSC will be releasing the policy about the topic)," she added.

Under resolution 148-B of the Inter-Agency Task Force, it is stated that in areas where there are sufficient supplies of COVID-19 vaccines as determined by the National Vaccines Operation Center (NVOC), all establishments and employers in the public and private sector shall require their eligible employees who are tasked to do on-site work to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, government workers may volunteer to assist during the National Vaccination Day from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 so long as they have secured an "Office Order" according to Lizada.

She said that different government agencies "most likely" may be allowed to volunteer if ever Local Government Units (LGUs) and the DOH should require additional manpower.

"It does not mean na kung hindi ho concern ang ating ahensiya ay hindi natin tutulungan. Kung kailangan ho tayo ng LGU, kung kailangan po tayo ng DOH and those who are willing to volunteer, magtulungan ho tayo (It does not mean that if the matter does not concern our agency, it is no longer our concern. If the LGU or the DOH needs us, let's help each other)," Lizada said.
