QCPD celebrates 82nd founding anniversary


The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) celebrated its 82nd founding anniversary at the grandstand of Camp Karingal in Sikatuna Village on Friday, Nov. 26.

The 82nd celebration with the theme “Sambisig ng Lungsod at Kapulisan Para sa Kapayapaan, Kaligtasan, at Kaunlaran: Gabay sa Tungkuling Alay" was attended by Philippine National Police (PNP) officials.

“It has been another fruitful and eventual year for us working together with the private sector, Philippine National Police, Local Government Agencies, and City Government to secure the safety, security, and welfare of Qcitizens despite the challenges of the pandemic. We would like to thank the QCPD for the service to our communities for your initiatives that go beyond law enforcement and peace and order. But it also provides compassionate service with a heart," Mayor Joy Belmonte said during her speech.

Congressman Bong Suntay of District 4, Police Lt. Gen. Bernabe Balba, chief of the PNP Directorate for Integrated Police Operations in the Visayas; and Police Brig. Gen. Jon Arnaldo, deputy regional director for operations of the National Capital Region Police, attended the event.

The QCPD also gave the Karingal Award and special recognitions to uniformed and non-uniformed personnel, units, government organizations (GOs) and non-government organizations (NGOs) for their outstanding achievements that contributed to the accomplishments and programs of the QCPD.
