The V.League recently announced that Espejo, a two-time Spikers' Turf champion, was fielded in the 28-man pool of the upcoming All-Star event at the Tokorozawa Municipal Gymnasium in Saitama on Christmas day, Dec. 25.

Espejo, outside hitter for FC Tokyo, was selected through the league's recommendation as indicated on its official website.

In a recent tweet, the former Ateneo standout welcomed the development by quote tweeting the league's post with a chilling face and the Philippine flag emojis.

As of this writing, FC Tokyo currently sits at seventh place with an identical 3-7 record with JT Thunders Hiroshima.

Meanwhile, his teammate Hideyuki Kuriyama, playing the middle blocker position, was also named into the 28-man All-Star pool.
