Cebu business group vows support for Bongbong-Sara Uniteam

Businessmen from Cebu Province gave their full support to the Bongbong-Sara Uniteam during a simple ceremony held in Mandaue City Friday, Nov. 26.

The Businessmen ng Bayan Movement of the Philippines (BBM), led by its president Benjie Hortelano, are optimistic that the business climate will rebound after the COVID-19 pandemic under a Marcos administration.

The group, which is made up of more than 50 small and medium entrepreneurs, is rooting for the BBM-Sara Uniteam in the coming 2022 May national elections.

Presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. has also recognized the effort shown by the Cebu business group and the business sector because they had to bear the brunt of the economic collapse during the pandemic.

“I cannot repay you for all your sacrifices by merely expressing my gratitude. Let us continue what we have started positively towards unity to enable us to overcome the crisis that we are facing,” the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer said.

Cebu businessmen displayed their resiliency during the pandemic's peak and the Central Visayas province even emerged as one of the top three tourist destinations during the pandemic.

Marcos and Vice Presidential bet Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio are also currently leading all formal and random, real-time man on the street presidential and vice presidential preferential surveys conducted in the country.

The former lawmaker also thanked his supporters and reminded them that the nationwide “unity ride” caravan held last week shows the Filipino people’s readiness to rally behind his leadership.

“The caravan was not only a display of support for my candidacy but it was also symbolic because it fosters unity,” the former Ilocos Norte governor told the Cebu businessmen.
