Kemark Cariño and Juan Gomez de Liaño will again try to put their squads out of a continued slump when the Aomori Wat’s and Earthfriends Tokyo Z face separate rivals in Japan’s B.League second division.

Cariño and the Wat’s play a two-game series on the road against the Bambitious Nara this weekend while Gomez de Liaño and Tokyo Z host the Yamagata Wyverns on Monday and Tuesday.

Both clubs share the worst record in the B.League’s second-tier league with just one win in 15 matches.

Gomez de Liaño’s performance has been on and off, posting 5.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 14 games.

Aomori has lost nine consecutive matches, with Cariño playing a very limited role.

The former San Beda center is averaging 2.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in eight games for the Wat’s.

Cariño and Gomez de Liaño are the only Filipinos in uniform with the B.League’s first division on a break for the second straight weekend due to the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
