The shipment containing 201,240 doses of Pfizer shot landed on Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 around 9:20 p.m.

The government-procured jabs were transported from the United States to NAIA onboard Air Hong Kong flight LD 456.

The delivery completed the commitment of Pfizer last Thursday to bring 1,219,140 doses of its vaccine to the country. The first batch of delivery containing 1,017,900 doses arrived on Thursday.

“We are very happy that the Philippines needs access to multiple sources of vaccines, those that it able to procure privately through these sorts of arrangements as well as those from the COVAX facility which the United States government supports,” said US Embassy deputy political officer Gary Applegarth.

In total, the vaccine supply has already reached 139,860,080 doses.

Of the total supply, 36,594,090 doses were from Pfizer, the country’s second highest vaccine supplier, next only to Sinovac-CoronaVac from China with 54.03 million doses.

Other brands in the inventory include 20.28 million doses of AstraZeneca, 14.61 million doses of Moderna, 10 million doses of Sputnik V, 3.24 million doses of Johnson & Johnson, 1.1 million doses of Sinopharm, and 5,000 doses of Sputnik Light.
