Capiz’s most wanted person nabbed in Taguig


A man tagged as one of the most wanted persons in Capiz was arrested in Taguig City on Nov. 25.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg announced the arrest of Rodney Felomino, 27, a resident of Phase 2, Bgy. Pinagsama, Taguig.

Felomino is the Capiz provincial police’s top 20 most wanted person in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The suspect was arrested at about 1 p.m. at a gasoline station on East Service Road, C5 in Bgy. Ususan, Taguig.

The joint manhunt operation was conducted by personnel of the Technical Support Division and Warrant and Subpoena Unit of Taguig Police, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Jamindan Municipal Police Station and Provincial Highway Patrol Team.

Felomino was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest for rape with no recommended bail in relation to Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) issued by Judge Judith Orendain-Tonogbanua of the Regional Trial Court Branch 20 in Mambusao, Capiz based on a criminal case filed on July 18, 2017.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of the Taguig police pending issuance of commitment order from the court of origin.

“I commend the joint operating teams of Taguig and Capiz PPO (Police Provincial Office) for their extensive and thorough search that resulted in the arrest of this wanted person. The manhunt operation is continuously undertaken under my leadership to put wanted persons behind bars and face the law for the crimes they committed,” said Macaraeg.
