Bongbong optimistic more political parties will join forces with Uniteam

Expect other political parties to join forces with Presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong"Marcos after the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) forged a 'unity alliance' with the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) and Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) on Thursday, Nov. 25.

Marcos made the statement after four major political parties gave their support to him and his running-mate Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio and turned the BBM-Sara Uniteam into the most formidable tandem in next year's May national elections.

The BBM-SARA Uniteam signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the PFP, LAKAS-CMD, HNP and PMP Thursday at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila in Pasay City.

"Marami pang major party na, I don’t want to mention, I don’t want to pre-emp pero lahat ng major parties ay kinakausap ko (There are many major parties, I don’t want to mention, I don’t want to pre-emp but I have talked to all major parties)," the PFP standard-bearer said.

Marcos also called the coalition "very significant" since it will not only unite what he calls 'like-minded political forces' but it will also bring unity in the country. He was also elated that three former Philippine presidents will be supporting his candidacy for the presidency in the coming national election.

Very significant because these major parties who are going along with my candidacy and Mayor Inday. And this is just the start in my opinion and this just the first step towards uniting what I call as like-minded political forces in this current administration and this is the beginning of the process to bring order and stabilize the coming election, campaigning and politics. I hope that we will be able to continue this thing and when we succeed, this will start unity not only in the political parties but with the whole Philippine nation and that is my narrative)," the former Ilocos Norte congressman said.

The former Ilocos Norte governor was also elated that three former Philippine presidents will be supporting his candidacy for the presidency in the coming national election.

"I’m very grateful to all of my former bosses sa kanilang (for their) endorsement and I take that as an endorsement not only of myself as a candidate but of the dreams and aspirations that we have, that we have in our message for the unity of our country," the former Ilocos Norte governor said.
