BLACKPINK's Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé test negative for COVID-19

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK members Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé have all tested negative for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

YG Entertainment announced this on Nov. 25 after member Lisa tested positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 24.

“BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Rosé and Jennie’s real time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) results were all negative,” said the agency.

It added that Lisa, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 ahead of a content filming schedule, is “in a very good condition with no suspicious symptoms.”

“All four BLACKPINK members have been vaccinated against COVID-19, and our company and our artists have been paying special attention to health and safety through frequent preemptive tests,” added YG Entertainment.

It said, “We wish Lisa a speedy recovery, and we plan to faithfully cooperate with the epidemiological investigation by the quarantine authorities in the future and take all necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”

On Nov. 24, the agency announced, “BLACKPINK's Lisa was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the afternoon of Nov. 24.”

The three other members have not yet been classified as close contacts but as soon as Lisa was informed that she tested positive for COVID-19, Jisoo, Rosé and Jennie underwent PCR tests.

The agency explained that “we shared the relevant information quickly and accurately with officials and took intensive preemptive measures beyond the guidelines of health authorities.”

South Korea recorded 3,938 new cases of COVID-19 on Nov. 25 to bring the total confirmed cases to 429,002.
