18 villages in Las Pinas now free of COVID-19

Mayor Imelda Aguilar announced on Thursday that 18 out of the 20 barangays in Las Pinas City are now free of COVID-19.

Aguilar said the two remaining barangays with COVID-19 cases are Pamplona Tres with two and Manuyo Dos with one.

She said the discipline shown by residents brought the number of COVID-19 cases in the city down to 34.

The mayor called on the residents to still follow the health and safety protocols being implemented by the city government and get vaccinated against the virus.

Aguilar together with Vice-Mayor April Aguilar usually visits the city’s vaccination sites to remind the residents on the importance of being vaccinated against the dreaded disease.

She said the 34 active COVID-19 patients are being closely monitored by the City Health officials to ensure their immediate recovery.

The mayor added she wishes for a single-digit COVID-19 tally this Christmas season.
