Rain or Shine inked two more players to contract extensions on Wednesday, Nov. 24 even as it awaits the arrival of import Henry Walker for the season-ending PBA Governors’ Cup.

Norbert Torres and rookie Anton Asistio were each given two-year deals during a meeting with Rain or Shine executives led by team governor Mameto Mondragon.

Head of basketball operations Caloy Garcia and assistant team manager Jireh Ibanes were also present while the two ROS players were joined by their agent Marvin Espiritu.

Torres has been with the Elasto Painters since 2018 and averaged 6.7 points on 46-percent shooting with 3.3 rebounds in 13 games during the Philippine Cup.

Asistio was drafted 22nd overall by ROS in this year’s draft and posted solid averages of 5.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in his maiden conference in the pro league.

Their signings came after Rain or Shine gave lefty guard Rey Nambatac, one of the team’s top players, a fresh pact worth three years.

Meanwhile, ROS coach Chris Gavina said the team expects Walker to be in town Thursday which would make him the ninth import to arrive.

The PBA hopes to set a definite timetable for the start of the Governors’ Cup once all reinforcements are accounted for.

Walker will play for his fourth PBA team after previous stints with Alaska, NLEX and Blackwater.
