The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said all its field offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) will resume the original work schedule of 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. starting Monday, Nov.22.
BI Commissioner Jaime Morente said the the office hour was reverted to the pre-pandemic period after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) placed the NCR under Alert Level 2.
In the same advisory, Morente also ordered that all BI offices in the NCR and other areas under Alert Level 2 to observe a minimum of 50 percent and up to the maximum 70 percent skeletal workforce.
Morente said the extension of working hours and the fielding of more personnel will enable the bureau's clientele to transact business easily.
The BI chief said, however, that "we are still implementing strict health protocols inside our offices to prevent the spread of Covid-19."
