Manila will begin administering COVID-19 booster shots to A1 priority group or the frontline health workers in the city on Friday, Nov. 19.
According to the Manila Public Information Office (MPIO), the boosters will be administered at six different Manila district hospitals, namely Sta. Ana Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, Gat Andres Bonifacio, Justice Jose Abad Santos, Ospital ng Sampaloc, and Ospital ng Tondo.
The Department of Health said vaccinees belonging to A1 priority group are allowed to choose the brand of booster shot that will be administered to them.
Manila is also joined by Taguig, Caloocan, Pateros, and San Juan in giving booster shots to their frontline workers.
