November 25 is getting closer by the day, and for those who don't know it yet—it's the opening of the biggest IKEA store in the world to date and it's here in Pasay City, Philippines.
And while we're slowly easing our way out into this pandemic that we are in, IKEA Philippines is making sure that everyone gets to shop safely in their store. "Our focus is the health and safety of our co-workers, customers and service providers as we work together to stay safe and healthy based on frequently updated recommendations from the Philippine Government in adherence with IATF's Alert Level Systems for COVID-19 Response," it says on their website.
They've set up an online booking system to make sure social distancing is set in place, among other safety precautionary measures. Here's how to book your slots, just click on this link and you'll be greeted with this, "Hej, Philippines! We want to meet you at IKEA Pasay City. To ensure a safe shopping experience, we welcome customers to IKEA Pasay City with pre-booked slots. We recommend planning your visit on a weekday to get ahead of the crowd."
First thing that you need to do is pick a date. As of this writing, the opening day, Nov. 25, still has open slots. Select your time schedule from morning, afternoon, and evening—from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. in 30 minute intervals. There are slots that are full and there are slots that are reserved for "senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs) or medical conditions, and pregnant women only. Please proceed directly to store entrance for verification."
Once you choose the date and time slot, you will be asked to choose how many of you will be going under your booking. Up to three persons, including you, only per booking.
Double check your booking details and confirm to proceed. You will be asked to encode your mobile number to request a one-time password (OTP), then you will be asked to enter your full name and e-mail address, then click "Sign Up."
The next step is to wait for both e-mail and text confirmations. You will be receiving a QR code that you will be presenting upon entry on your confirmed scheduled date and time. And once you do receive this last and final step click on this link for some reminders for a smooth shopping experience.
