In a tweet, the Hong Kong-based esports organization revealed its entry to the Dota 2 pro scene with the signing of big names in former Evil Geniuses Tal “Fly” Aizik and TNC Predator Kim “Gabbi” Santos.

Fly, who is set to take the captain’s role, will also have former Boom Esports duo Brizio Adi Putra “Hyde” Budiana and Rafli Fathur "Mikoto" Rahman and Australian and former Team SMG player Damien "kpii" Chok on Talon's Dota 2 squad which will operate in the Philippines

"Dota 2 has been a game that we have long sought to enter and finally in 2021, we have arrived. The Philippines will be the home of our new squad and we look forward to embracing the passionate fan base of the country,” said Sean Zhang, CEO of Talon in a statement.

“We have put together a supremely talented roster with the goal of contending for majors and of course the International next year,” he added.

Meanwhile, Fly, who helped EG to a 5th-6th place finish in The International 10, expressed his excitement in joining the already stacked SEA region. Gabbi, on the other hand, finally found a new home after his release from TNC and is eager to represent the country well.

“The Southeast Asian region has always held a special place in my heart, with its passionate fans and raw Dota power. It will be intense, yes, but I am looking forward to competing under a fresh banner and alongside this talented roster. I am excited for a new era of SEA Dota,” said Fly.

“I'm super excited to play at a globally successful organization like Talon Esports. I will work my hardest to get the best results and represent The Philippines proudly,” shared Gabbi.
