QC starts rollout of E-services kiosks

The Quezon City government on Wednesday, started the rollout of E-services kiosks to make its services more accessible and convenient to city residents.

The E-Services kiosks may be used for applying for services under the Business One-Stop Shop, registering for the QCitizen ID, QC Vax Easy, Occupational Permit, Health and Sanitary Permit, Pangkabuhayang QC and Kalingang QC (for business), paying for Real Property Tax, and for Persons with Disability Affairs Office ID and Office of Senior Citizens Affairs ID.

The kiosk will be placed in the city's District Action Offices, business centers in malls, and in the barangays.

Mayor Joy Belmonte, together with Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Director-General Atty Jeremiah Belgica and QC Business Permits and Licensing Department head Margarita Santos, spearheaded the launch of the QC E-Services kiosk as one of the initiatives in implementing the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.

"Here in Quezon City, we want to bring our services closer to the people so they don't have to come to city hall to do their transactions, they can just do them online or through our kiosks. We value their business, and we value their time," Mayor Belmonte said.

Meanwhile, ARTA's Belgica lauded the city government's innovation in bringing its services and projects closer to the people.

"From 2019, malaki na ang nagawa ng QC on Ease of Doing Business, at kung nagawa ng Quezon City within a short period of time, walang dahilan ang ibang lungsod na hindi magawa ito. Quezon City is truly a benchmark and standard on how the country is doing in terms of ease of doing business," Belgica said.
