P7.4-M worth of shabu seized in Lapu-Lapu buy-bust op


CEBU CITY – Packs of suspected shabu worth P7.4 million were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City on Tuesday, November 16.

Arrested during the operation was Philip Abella, a 36-year-old resident of Barangay Pasil, Cebu City.

The packs of shabu seized from the suspect weighed 1,100 grams, police said.

"I commend my men for a job well done. Our consolidated efforts is aligned with the Chief PNP’s mandate to ensure that every member of the police force will remain on his toes performing his duty with integrity and competence and continue to fight all forms of criminality especially on illegal drugs without fear or favor," said Police Brig. Gen. Roque Edaurdo Vega, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas.

The bust-bust operation was conducted by City Drug Enforcement Unit and City Intelligence Unit of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, Regional Intelligence Division 7, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 7 in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Central Visayas.
