Mayor Sara on arrest of Pharmally execs in Davao: We have nothing to hide

DAVAO CITY — Presidential daughter and City Mayor Sara Duterte said the arrest of the executives of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp here on Sunday, Nov. 14 has no effect on the city's "good reputation."

"We have nothing to hide here in Davao City and Dabawenyos are appreciative of the efforts of all branches of government," Duterte said responding to the question from The Manila Bulletin on what she thinks would be the effect of the arrest of the siblings Twinkle and Mohit Dargani, Pharmally's top executives at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport.

"I do not think duna syay epekto sa atoang good reputation as a city (I do not think it has an effect on the city's good reputation)," she said.

The vice presidential candidate said "it only shows that we are open."

"Ang atoang syudad dili sarado sa mga kinahanglan buhaton sa atoang gubyerno whether it is from the judiciary, the legislative, or the executive branches of government (Our city is not closed to what our government needs to do whether it is from the judiciary, the legislative, or the executive branches of government)," she added.

Manila Bulletin sources say the Dargani siblings were about to depart a chartered LearJet 60, owned by a Singapore-based company, when arrested by Senate security personnel.

The siblings are now in custody of the Senate.
