Sara ask supporters, media: Avoid campouts outside Comelec

DAVAO CITY — Presidential daughter and City Mayor Sara Duterte asked her supporters not to hold "campouts" and gatherings outside the Commission on Election office.

To all my supporters and the members of the media - I appeal to you to avoid holding campouts outside the Comelec)," Duterte said in a statement on Friday.

"Hindi na kailangan mag-camp-out pa dahil meron pang pandemya at ayoko kayong magkasakit (You don't need to camp-out because we are in a pandemic and I wouldn't want you to get sick)," she added.
I hope you will also think about your families)," Duterte said.

Duterte, who was recently sworn in as member of Lakas-CMD in Silang, Cavite on Thursday, added that she is back in Davao City.

I also appeal to those who are from the provinces to avoid going to Manila, I am here in Davao City because of the rains and flooding)," Duterte added.

She expressed admiration for the dedication of her supporters and the media for their hard work.

Our spokespersons will release an official statement, photos and videos)," she added.
