QC gov't allows minors to enter 'child-friendly safe zones'

The Quezon City government announced on Thursday, Nov.11, that minors are now allowed to enter parks, malls, and commercial establishments that are classified as "child-friendly safe zones."

These zones include the Quezon Memorial Circle, La Mesa Ecopark, Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center, parks located in different barangays, malls, and other confined spaces with “safety seals”.

Minors can visit the said places regardless of vaccination status, but they should always be accompanied by their parents/guardians who already got their COVID-19 jabs.

Establishments that are not tagged as child-friendly zones can still accommodate minors following the guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) for the Alert Level 2 status.

The local government reiterated the importance of observing health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

They added that those who witness any violation of protocols can report to the QC Watch: quezoncity.gov.ph/file-report

Metro Manila was placed under Alert Level 2 by the IATF-EID on Nov. 5 due to the decline in the number of active COVID-19 cases in the region.
