Pasay City buy-bust yields shabu, firearm; 3 arrested


Two female drug suspects and their male companion were arrested during a buy-bust operation Wednesday in Pasay City and yielded almost half a million worth of illegal drugs and firearm.

Col. Cesar Paday-os, Pasay City police chief, identified the suspects as Danica Mae Caingat, 23, Angilain Khell David, 30; and Danilo David, 54, all residents of Pasay City.

Paday-os said the suspects were arrested by members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) during a a buy-bust operation at about 10:20 p.m. at 2519 Tolentino St., Barangay 124, Zone 12, Pasay City.

He said SDEU members were able to confiscate from the suspects 57.91 grams of shabu worth P393,788, ten heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing marijuana leaves, and one .45 caliber pistol.

Paday-os said Caingat and David who were both listed in the drug watchlist were charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while David was charged for violation of Obstruction on Apprehension and Prosecution of Criminal Offenders.

He said the three suspects are now detained at the Pasay City custodial facility.
