The Philippine political landscape now reeks of speculations and possibilities after Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio suddenly withdrew her bid for re-election on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, that left everyone in the dark on what her next move would be with just five days before the deadline of the substitution of candidates for the May 2022 elections.

The Palace also said that the reopening of the country to foreign tourists was being studied as the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis continued to become more and more manageable each day.
