More than 2.8K minors receive anti-COVID vax in Davao

DAVAO CITY - A total of 2,846 minors aged 12 to 17 years old have received their anti-COVID vaccines here since the city began the pediatric vaccination drive last Oct. 29, 2021.

In a statement issued on Monday, the city government said it also identified five vaccination hubs for the pediatric inoculation.

The vaccination hubs include GMall Toril, Mabini Elementary School, Calinan Elementary School, Matina Aplaya Elementary School, and F. Dizon Elementary School.

The vaccination hubs are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. without the need for pre-registration, the city government added.

"All public and private hospitals have also joined in the pediatric inoculation but children need pre-registration," it said.

To get vaccinated, the minors should be accompanied by their parents or guardians.

"Children accompanied by their parents need to bring a birth certificate, Safe Davao QR, and a medical certificate for 12–17-year-olds with comorbidity. Also, parents are required to accompany their children and must bring valid IDs. For guardians, however, they’ll have to bring a valid ID and valid ID of parents," the city government added.
