A Meeting of Theologians will be held Tuesday, Nov. 9, in Rome, Italy to discuss the ‘positio’ of Archbishop Camomot, the Archdiocese of Cebu said.

"Our dear Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma is requesting all priests, religious and lay faithful to include this particular intention and pray for a positive response to this concern,” said the Cebu archdiocese.

The Vatican’s Congregation of the Causes of Saints approved the ‘positio’ of Archbishop Camomot which contained his life, works, and deed while serving the archdiocese, said Fr. Mhar Balili, vice postulator for the canonization of Archbishop Camomot over Radio Veritas.

The archdiocese hopes that the College of Cardinals will recommend to Pope Francis for Archbishop Camomot to be called Venerable, which then will require for a miracle for the beatification process to begin.

"Archbishop Palma reminds everyone, especially the lay faithful, not to invoke yet the intentions of Archbishop Teofilo Camomot, like: “Archbishop Teofilo Camomot, pray for us,” as if he is already canonized as a saint,” the archdiocese said.
