With health restrictions being downgraded as the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation in the country improves, activity at the nation’s factories has reached a new high after a seven-month slump, even as the Department of Health (DOH) has targeted almost 100 percent of Metro Manila’s eligible adult population for full vaccination by the end of the year.

World famous tourist destination Boracay Island is also on a rebound as it reported the second highest number of tourist arrivals for the year.

The government also welcomed the arrival of 2.7 million doses of Russian-made Sputnik vaccines.
