BOC, NAIA prepare for influx of gifts and parcels on Yuletide season


The Bureau of Customs and the Port of NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) are now preparing for the entry of a large volume of gifts and parcels in the coming days leading to the Yuletide season.

For a start, they strengthened the coordination with the Philippine Postal Corporation in order to ensure the proper management of receipt, distribution and delivery of girst and parcels especially coming from various countries.

In a recent meeting, the BOC, Port of NAIA and the Philpost officials have agreed to streamline the processing of the gifts and parcels by launching systems in CMEC (Central Mail Exchange Center) at the Port of NAIA.

“These projects aim to transform the logistical structure of parcel importation more efficiently, secured, and easier to administer,” the statement from read.

The BOC-NAIA expressed its full support to the initiatives and projects to improve service for the general public, especially to returning Filipinos, Overseas Filipino Workers and other travelers.
