Valenzuela City reopens online application for pet microchipping

Dog owners can register their pets online for microchipping as the Valenzuela City Pets Application (ValPets) program reopened on Tuesday, Nov.2.

The program aims to have all pets in the city be implanted with radio frequency identification (RFID) microchips for easy tracking and verification in case they go missing.

The RFIDs will contain the pets’ vaccination records, names and addresses of their owners.

The local government said that they will prioritize dogs for microchipping, which will start on Nov. 12.

Pet owners may register through this link: https://valpets.appcase.net/ Schedule for other pets will be announced.

Aside from microchipping and tracking, the program also provides anti-rabies vaccinations. A list of veterinary clinics, grooming centers and poultry supplies are also posted on its website.

ValPets was launched in March 2021 but was temporarily halted in August due to the COVID-19 surge in the city.
